It was a real advisory, but it was written for the Malibu coast — it reached this page because the tool asks the National Weather Service for Los Angeles County, and the county reaches the sea. Alerts are now checked against the Santa Clarita Valley itself before they appear. Red Flag warnings, wind, heat and storm alerts for the valley are unaffected.
