When the wind eases enough to work the boat at Tignish Run today and tomorrow, banded on the Beaufort scale — with Environment Canada's marine forecast and DFO's own lobster notices alongside it.
Tonight's frost risk for Norway Road, read from Environment Canada's own forecast model at ground level — for growers timing the harvest against the first hard frost, and any garden still in.
Tap to say whether Norway Road is clear, slow going, or not yet ploughed — since it's on a rotating winter schedule and there's no local government here to publish it.
Norway's page now opens with a drawing of potato drills in red island soil running toward the Gulf of St. Lawrence, a farmstead in the middle distance, and the North Cape wind turbines on the horizon.
Norway has no council, so the collection calendar comes from Island Waste Management. This page reads their own dated calendar rather than working the days out from a rule, which means a holiday move shows up exactly as IWMC has it — including the days when nothing is collected and the pickup moves to a Saturday. Norway Road and Tignish village are different zones and both are shown, because the boundary runs between neighbours. There are also Environment Canada warnings for Prince County, and the lobster season for LFA 24 with the three-day weather delay that moved the 2026 dates.
