Sign in and tell other riders and walkers whether a redway route is clear, rough going or blocked — eleven routes along the grid roads, Railway Walk, the Ouse Valley and the CMK underpasses. It also carries the thing worth knowing before you need it: the council will only consider a claim for damage caused by a defect that had already been reported to them.
Eleven services ended in spring 2026 and MK Connect replaced them. This is what the council publishes about it: £4 peak and £3 off-peak, £1.50 on an older person's or disabled person's pass, distance surcharges past 5 km and 8 km, Monday to Saturday 6am to 8pm with no Sunday service, and the council's own note that most people wait around half an hour. Anything written about MK Connect before spring 2026 is likely out of date.
Pick your band and your parish area and see the 2026/27 charge, split between the city council, Thames Valley Police, the fire authority and your parish. All 48 parish areas are in it: 45 levy a precept, from £16.67 in Central Milton Keynes to £368.15 in Woughton at Band D, which is why two neighbouring streets can pay different totals.
Council tax worked out for your band and your parish, what MK Connect actually costs and when it runs, and a board where riders and walkers say how the redways are.
