Compare Cheltenham's central car parks — Regent Arcade, Town Centre East, St James Street and Bath Terrace — against the Arle Court park & ride for what a visit actually costs, by how long you're staying and how many of you there are. Includes the Cheltenham Festival's race-week park & ride shuttle fare.
Cheltenham's A&E is open all night, but what it can treat changes: a full consultant-led emergency department by day, and a nurse-led Minor Injuries & Illness Unit from 8pm to 8am, with serious cases, ambulances and children going to Gloucestershire Royal in Gloucester. This new tool reads the time and shows what's available right now, then walks you through where to go depending on how serious it is — call 999, walk in at Cheltenham, or head to Gloucester. Checked against NHS Gloucestershire.
The banner shows the domed Regency spa building across the lake in Pittville Park, with the Cotswold escarpment at Cleeve Hill in the distance.
Today's air quality in central Cheltenham, updated hourly, with the grass and tree pollen through hay-fever season. It's the modelled area-wide picture, with the traffic and the escarpment that can trap still air explained, and Defra's official forecast linked.
Where's the Bus? shows where the Stagecoach West town buses are right now — how far each one is from the town centre and which way it's heading, in plain words, for the D, A, C, 10, 94 and W routes. Live positions come from the Department for Transport's Bus Open Data Service.
A new tool for Cheltenham: pick your band (A to H) and see this year's council tax charge, what it works out to a month, and how the bill splits between Gloucestershire County Council, the adult social care precept, Cheltenham Borough Council and the police. It also lists the five parishes that add a precept. The figures are the council's own 2026/27 amounts, worked out with the standard band proportions; the council's own schedule stays the authority.
Cheltenham now has its own page. It starts with three tools: a live River Chelt flood watch reading the Environment Agency's gauges, the festivals-and-racing calendar that shapes the town's year, and a plain guide to the fortnightly bin cycle that flags bank-holiday changes. More will follow as residents suggest them.
