The flight team decides at 6am and 6pm at Ashton Court and posts the call minutes later, so nobody knows in advance — including us. What the page does is show the forecast wind at the launch field against the eight-knot figure the CAA publishes for mass take-offs, point at the channels where the real call appears, and cover what doesn't depend on weather: parking that must be booked ahead, the bus that doesn't run on Sunday, and the free places to watch from.

Check whether an address is inside the zone, work out whether your vehicle is charged and what a week of driving in would cost, and see what is left of the exemptions. All ten of the exemptions Bristol created when the zone opened have expired — a blue badge no longer exempts anyone, while the disabled tax class on the V5C still does, automatically. We can't check a number plate here and the page says why; the official checker does that in seconds.

Any Environment Agency warning in force around the city, plus live levels at six gauges — including the Avonmouth tide gauge, because Bristol's flood risk comes up the river on a surge, not down it on the rain. The page shows each measured level and says where it has no published typical range to judge it against.
