The trains and buses that reach Lake Bled — which station is best for what, the direct bus from Ljubljana, and the summer shuttle around the lake — so you can skip the parking hunt and the high-season road closures.
The Okarina world-music festival no longer appears on Bled's official events programme (its Culture Institute run was 2006–2019), so it has been removed from the roadworks-and-busy-days board. The candle night now carries its current name, Lights on the Lake (Lučke na jezeru), and the Strategic Forum dates are corrected to late August / early September (31 August – 1 September in 2026).
Bled through the year gathers the town's recurring events — the May accordion weekend, Medieval Days at the castle, the July candle night (Lights on the Lake), the Assumption Day pilgrimage to the island, the Strategic Forum, and the winter lights — in the order they come around, each with a link to the host for the year's exact dates and the thing you need to know before you go.
The Parking & access answer now leads with the ~€30 resident rate (the full annual permit is €90, with a 66.67% discount for eligible residents) instead of the €90 figure, matching the parking cost calculator.
Velika Zaka is barrier-controlled daily from 12 June; Mlino, Mačkovec and Koritno join from 3 July (weekends), with Mlino and Mačkovec daily until 21:00 at the July–August peak. Koritno was missing before and is now included, in both the Parking & access answers and the Roadworks & busy-days board.
Pick how long you're staying and the new parking tool shows the cheapest car park for your visit. The lots right by the lake cost €4.50 an hour; the central lots a short walk back cost €2.50; and a couple give you the first hour free, which can be the cheapest way to make a quick stop. Prices are the municipal rates that took effect in June 2025.
A new tool shows when the lake is calm and when it fills up — the daily rhythm (early mornings and evenings are quietest), the seasonal one (July and August carry about a third of the year's overnight stays), and the busy weeks to plan around, like Bled Days and the Strategic Forum. It's a guide to the usual pattern, not a live count.
Live Lake Bled water temperature from ARSO, a parking and access guide (prices, resident card, summer locals-only roads, fines), and a roadworks and busy-days board.
