A neighbour board of where the water is off right now, plus SADA's own fault line — Alor Setar has lost water by the hundred thousand accounts more than once this year.

The town page now opens with a drawing of the flooded paddy fields on the flat plain outside the city, with Gunung Keriang on one side and the Menara Alor Setar and the domes of Masjid Zahir far off on the other.

Alor Setar is live with two tools. **Waktu Solat** shows JAKIM's published timetable for zone KDH01 — the same times the mosques here keep, rather than times we work out ourselves. The zone covers Kota Setar, Kubang Pasu and Pokok Sena, so the whole city is on one timetable; the page says so, and shows JAKIM's Hijri date and Qibla bearing alongside. If JAKIM's service cannot be reached, the page falls back to times computed from the sun over the town and says clearly that it has done so, on the day and in the week table. It works offline once loaded. **Sungai Kedah: River Level** reads the river's level at the highway bridge in Kota Setar every fifteen minutes from JPS's national flood network, and places it against the four alert levels JPS publishes for that exact gauge — Normal, Waspada, Amaran, Bahaya — with JPS's own wording for what each one means. Alor Setar floods on rain that fell upstream in Sik, Baling and Pendang, often on a day that is dry here, which is why the page watches the river rather than the forecast. It carries the mukims that flood, what to do at each level, and who to call. The page never says a flood degree is in force: JPS measures the river, and the state disaster committee makes that call. One tool we did not build: an assessment tax estimator. It is the clearest unmet need in the town after the 2025 revaluation, and we have the calculator ready — but the rates in circulation come from news reporting rather than from MBAS's own published list, and we could not reach the council's site to check them. A tax calculator built on unverified rates would be worse than none, so it waits until we can confirm the table.
