The nawwāt — the named winter storms — are on the dates the Alexandria Port Authority itself publishes, read from its Arabic table, as an almanac of when a storm is due rather than a forecast that one will arrive. Swimming conditions carry today's measured sea and explain the beach flag system, including that a red flag means entering the water is forbidden outright; they never show a flag colour, because status is announced daily by the governorate and there is no feed for it — the flag on the pole at the beach is the authority. There is also a page on the Raml tram closure and its replacement buses, and prayer times on Egypt's official angles.
